Every year, Chess & Math arranges inter-school tournaments for schools within Quebec and a big tournaments for schools between Quebec and Ontario.
This academic year, Qiuyu’s school “Fernand -Seguin” got the first place for the tournament within Quebec and was invited to play the tournaments against Ontario in Kingston, Ontario.
Chess and Math arranged a bus to ship all of the kids and parents to Kingston. We left around 8:20AM and arrived around 12PM.
Qiuyu was talking to his friend (also his fellow student) Saber all the way to Kingston.
As usual, we met some old friends, had some good games and some not so good ones. Qiuyu won all the games as the second player in the team. Hopefully in the next academic year, he can get the chance to play as the first player. He will face more challenges for sure, but more fun is guaranteed.
