2015 Apple Picking

Posted on Categories Sparkling

Apple orchards are ripe for the picking. We usually won’t miss this: Quebec’s favorite fall activity!

  • perfect excuse to get out of the city

  • get some fresh air

  • enjoy the changing colors of the leaves

  • stock up on delicious apples…..

Vergers are only 45 minutes’ driving from the city. We really don”t have any excuses not to visit one.

We went to the same one as last year:

Verger Lafrance
1473 Chemin Principal, Saint-Joseph-du-Lac

But next year, we will try new place as indicated below:

We have new friends this year: this is the cutest one: George on his first apple picking trip:

I have a feeling that the band is the same one as last year; but it does not matter. I believe the music makes it more alive. But to be honest, I did not pay any attention to the music:

We had BurgerKing as lunch at the open field with a bunch of horses and other animals walking nearby:

We are ready for the truck (George and me make very cute Mom and Son; unfortunately, I am not the real mom):

This is the real mom:

I have to say the truck looks way cooler than last year: The photo was not taken in a proper way. It looks awesome when it faces you:IMG_7662

People are abandoning apples all over the place:IMG_7672

Basically showtime for Qiuyu and Yihan: there are lots of ladders….

I basically did nothing due to my not yet recovered pain. Simon did all the picking and packing:IMG_7757

Simon also took a photo of everyone:IMG_7730

Harvest moment: we took George’s “car”:
