Year 2016, the Provincial Chess Championship was held in Ritz (again). Amazing! So many kids were joining to train their brain muscle:

Winning a championship is not easy for sure. Sometimes you blundered during the game and you cried your eyes out afterwards; sometimes you just got sick and had to take some medication before the match started: Can you tell from my face that I am sick? My mom was worried and stayed outside the playroom all the time; she was prepared for the worst, for example: I faint inside and the arbiter gets really panicking after yelling and screaming for a present parent but with no luck. To be honest with you, I think I was just a little bit pale. That’s it:

And I usually got back to the right track after:

Now I for sure look like a normal kid when my friend is around: got to blend in, right?

Lecong’s dad is an amazing photographer: compared to the ones shot by my mom, these photos are way more,..stylish.. I think my parents should really start learning how to shoot photos…You know, carrying a camera around does not mean you can shoot good photos:
Between two games, I was not allowed to run around, obviously because I was sick that day. So we walked a little bit and then I spent the most of the time sitting in the middle of the lobby, watching boring news:
Or sitting on the stairs right outside the hotel, chatting with my friend:
At round two, I was paired with my classmate Lechong: he made a bad move during the game and he realized it right after:
I got 5/5 after 5 rounds and had to wait for Tyler to see if we needed to play playoff. My mom was looking at the time and was about to ask me to take the second doze since early that morning as it was about time that the effect of the first doze faded away. But the playoff started. I entered the room and played 10 minutes playoff with Tyler.
Finally, the trophy! Thanks to every one who supports me, I certainly will cherish what I have and strive for the next one..:

After the ceremony, we went to 5000 ans for dinner. It is a Korean restaurant. I gave it 5/5, as usual.
Btw, Lecong’s dad took the photo #4 of me by surprise. That’s why I have that face. Lol:)
Wow! Really interesting!
