Everybody, everywhere seems to be busy.
Most of the time we have a choice. But we just don’t want to admit it. We are so busy rushing for everything, with no clues why and where we are going.
I, am a bad example. If there is a technique that can help me reduce the time of ironing clothes, cleaning home, even buttoning my shirts, I would absolutely embrace it. From my perspective, being efficient in some other things means I probably can have more time to have a quality talk with my son; having more time to watch a silly movie or just do nothing— But Efficiency does not guarantee quality. I often time find it extremely important to take time to think, slow down and enjoy every bit of our life.
Here is a prescription from de Grazia;he closed his 1962 tome, “Of Time, Work and Leisure”:
“Lean back under a tree, put your arms behind your head, wonder at the pass we’ve come to, smile and remember that the beginnings and ends of man’s every great enterprise are untidy”.
Last weekend, I went for such a wonderful Bachelor’s Party. This is the moment that you want to keep it as “slow motion”. That is why I figure this has to go in this website, to become a re-livable memory.
Usually Bachelor’s party has to be a drunken occasion. But I guess the idea of being drunken has been killed by the bride. This one is particularly sweet:
It started with a work shop “How to wear high heels”. I don’t really care how to wear them. But if the bride is happy, why not. It turned out it was fun. At least i got the idea that how clumsy I can be. The host got my attention more than the high-heels themselves. She is from France, fully bi-lingual (of course). She is single and knows a lot about the relationship between females and males. I had a nice and open-minded conversation with her right before the workshop started.
Then we went for dinner at Mikado (399 Avenue Laurier O). The food is fabulous and indeed worth every penny. It was actually the most expensive Meal that I have ever paid myself. Ms organizer actually prepared a bunch of questions and had him answered the questions- some of the questions are bold- but JIASHU answered honestly or dodged wisely. I was laughing so hard for one particular question that he answered: I will leave it to her to answer-
It was a wonderful bachelor party- I wish I had one for my wedding. That might be a lot of fun.
Me, the bride and the girl who arranged the party
Either in pink or in yellow: I just bought the dress one day before
Happy together; The food is awesome
