Gatineau open is the third tournament Q played in open section. Overall he had a good tournament. Unfortunately due to the mistake that we as parents made, he was late for the first round for about 25 minutes which resulted in time pressure in the end and cost him a promising game.
The good thing is as time passes, Q is playing significantly slower than before, which really makes big difference. As long as he is on that path, we know he is progressing.
This is Hongrui, a very strong player. They are so talented and the only question is what they would like to focus on in the future.
The third round with Yang Fang was a draw.

On our way back home, we passed Parliament building, which we visited several years ago.
This was probably the happiest moment Q had for that weekend: he saw his favorite project in real life: the Supreme Court Building!
