It was an excellent book, following Catching Fire. But overall I did not really enjoy it too much because it is somewhat confusing…..Can’t get to the details here; I don’t want to reveal the punch as the part that I was talking about is a turning point in the series.
Despite that feeling, I must admit, it is a really marvelous series although ended in a totally different way than I expected. Another sad part was when Finnick died. He was a great, brave solider and one of Katnis’s most loyal ally.
I did not like the mutts in the tunnel either, because in the movie it was super frightening. The book version is less scary than the film.
The mission towards Snow’s mansion was another good part: like super spies entering a prohibited area. (I like spies, they are awesome, you know). In the movie, the graphics were really amazing when I read to the part where Katniss was shot, I was like: “No, she dies here? In the middle of the story?” But I reassured myself: “Then, why are there so many pages left?” Then I continued reading. It was a wonderful series.
I think the second book in the collection is the best. In that book, in the end, Suzanne added a lot of cliffhanging suspense. Good job! Suzanne! It took me 10 seconds to fetch the third book because of that. The third and the conclusive book was not so good as I thought, because of Katniss’s action at the end. The first book, was a hit, no doubt about it. Really awesome.
