Presidency Election

When did you start paying attention to class president election?  For me, it was only until my first year of secondary school. I felt “peer pressure” first time in my life and that triggered something deep inside that is called “passionate about personal growth”.  I started paying attention to those things that are out of my comfort zone, including running for class president election.  You may not get it right the first time, but the experience is valuable.
Qiuyu would like to give it a try but he wanted to wait for next turn. He would like to observe what the current class president will do and get an understanding of what it is like, then he will run for it on the next election.  It seems like a good plan. Sometimes we take the risk right way, experience it and go through learning curve at the same time; sometimes we observe, watch, learn and get ourselves ready.
However, be aware of this: making our dreams become a reality requires leaving the comfortable environment and challenging ourselves on a regular basis.
Most of us fear stepping into the unknown. The potential failure, disapproval and discomfort paralyze us.  However, once we make the decision to step out of our comfort zone and fully commit to doing this daily, we’ll experience many amazing things we wouldn’t have otherwise.
I am jealous of all the opportunities that are laid out in front of Qiuyu. The way that Qiuyu deals with the new challenges for now is just one of his coping mechanism.  I am just curious what will trigger him to take the risk right away.
Boys are growing fast. Currently, their table topic at lunch time is sort of like these:
  • the election comes; which one you would vote for: Bloc Québécois (Party Leader:Mr. Gilles Duceppe)? Conservative Party of Canada (Party Leader:The Right Hon. Stephen Harper, P.C., M.P.)? Liberal Party of Canada (Party Leader:Mr. Justin Trudeau)?
  • Bloc Quebecois has too limited point of view in regards to the world around Quebec. I would never vote for them.
  • Texas is very dangerous. People can pull out guns any time, anywhere……
