I have never been a fan to any movie series except Transformer. But of course we watch Star War: we have to consume the popular culture from time to time.
Two things to keep in mind:
-do not go to the Forum for IMAX movies. The screen is too short which results in twisted images. The one at ScotiaBank is the tallest.
-do not buy popcorn combo there. Those junk only makes you feel depressed after the movie.
The movie is somewhat disappointing to me. I am no fan of this series. All I wanted to see is some new factors that combines new technologies and good stories. But nothing came out to be stunning. Just a very ordinary movie. The new bad guy actually surprised me. I don’t agree with so many bad comments about him. We think this bad guy charming with lots of potentials. I actually had some questions when I walked out of the cinema. But I have found the answer right after I googled them:
Why has Luke been hiding?
: He started to have fear that he himself might lose control. Fear is a key factor that might drive a skywalker into darkness. He chose to exile himself. But before he left, he had this feeling that one day, his people would need him again. So he left those two pieces of map that could help his people find him.
