After an awful chess tournament over the weekend, Qiuyu needs several winning to boost himself.
With Yuqing again, he won this time.

No game.
Qiuyu was like a computer engine today. He got full mark for his homework and solved lots of problems ahead of other kids. Thus he was rewarded a lot of times of controlling the computer I front of the class.
He was very excite today. I guess that is called pleasant self-fulfilment.

We went for Holloween chess tournaments arranged by Chess & Math. Qiuyu was having a hard time for his homework. This week we need to come up a solution.

Won a game with Mathieu. Lost 2 pawns in middle game, but still remained calm and counterattacked and nailed a win. I thought he was losing, but it turned out you never know what it is going to be if it is QIUYU who is playing.

Lost a game to Anand today. Fail to defense properly. He decided to do Mixed problems on ChessTempo.

Lost a game to Wei Han Luo this week. Almost cried. I took him out for a walk; waited until his frustration faded away. I was acting like a cheer leader which I am very proud of myself.
He has lost a couple of games lately. It is not necessary a bad thing. The good thing is that he actually begins to think about it. When we start to think about the situation that we are facing in an positive and active way, things could be different. It changes the way that we deal with things. It also might alter the direction that leads to our solutions.
The only thing that we can do when facing bottleneck is to take a step back, re-assessing our weakness and strength; re-mapping our plan; keeping positive mentality and most importantly: NEVER lose faith in ourselves.
